Title: Lone Jack Athletic Association Receives Truman Heartland Grant to Expand Youth Sports Programs
Subtitle: New funding will support local youth development and community engagement
EASTERN JACKSON COUNTY, MO (January 5, 2026)– The Lone Jack Athletic Association (LJAA) is proud to announce that it has received grant funding from the Truman Heartland Community Foundation to enhance its youth sports programs. This support will allow LJAA to provide new equipment, expanded training opportunities, and scholarships to ensure all children in the community can participate regardless of financial circumstances.
“This grant is a game-changer for our kids and families,” said Adrienne Wayman, Treasurer at LJAA. “It allows us to grow our programs and provide more opportunities for children to be active, learn teamwork, and develop lifelong skills. We are grateful to Truman Heartland Community Foundation for investing in our community’s youth.”
LJAA plans to use the grant to fund youth scholarships, update equipment, and refresh dated field fixtures. Already, community members are seeing the benefits. With the help of dedicated volunteers, structural work has been performed on the baseball dugouts to ensure continued safety, and fresh paint has been applied to improve visual appeal. New sports equipment is also arriving, and the kids’ excitement and pride are evident as they enjoy the upgraded facilities and enhanced opportunities. The Truman Heartland Community Foundation grant funds LJAA to expand programs, giving more children the chance to be active, learn teamwork, and develop lifelong skills.
The Lone Jack Athletic Association encourages families, volunteers, and community members to get involved and support local youth sports. To learn more, visit http://ljathletic.com/ or the Truman Heartland Community Foundation website at www.thcf.org.
